Camerata Orchestra

Camerata Orchestra is an auditioned 9th-12th grade orchestra comprised of a subset of string students from Symphony Orchestra. Camerata Orchestra is the most advanced level of string orchestra offered at Carmel High School. Students in Camerata meet in a separate class period from the rest of the Symphony Orchestra strings during the school day. The two sections combine for after school rehearsals and performances as the Symphony Orchestra. Camerata Orchestra performs separately at the Carmel Clay Schools 8th Grade Orchestra Festival and most years Camerata performs in its own concert in the spring semester. Previous Camerata Orchestra Concerts have featured the Carmel High School Ambassadors in a performance of the entire Schubert Mass No. 2 in G Major, violinist Tarn Travers in a full performance of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, and the Tchaikovsky Serenade for Strings.
